Digital Story
My digital story was on the topic of my heroes, who are my parents. I created my story using Windows Movie Maker. Up until this point, I had never created a digital story and had never used Windows Movie Maker. This took a lot of work and effort on my part to get it all flowing together. However, I had such a great time doing this and would love to introduce this idea to my students. This topic brought up many memories and definitely tugged on my heart strings. I hope you all enjoy it.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful tribute to your parents. I know that I am very fortunate to have both of my parents who are 87. Dad is still going strong but I am seeing my mom fail as Alzheimer's is getting worse. But they have built a strong family and marriage. One of the nurses at the hospital a couple of weeks ago told us that after meeting my parents she went home and told her husband that she hoped he looked at her the way my dad looked at my mom after 66 years of marriage. Our parents have set great examples for us to follow. - Ella
Lindsey your story was so touching. I loved how it all came together and the pictures you chose were excellent. I broke into tears a few times. Your parents and family reminded me of mine. My dad is always very supportive and my mom is the backbone of the family and makes sure everyone always gets together for the holidays, after my grandparents passed away. It is those types of things which really matter to family. From your story I read and now the from watching the video I can tell that you have a very supportive, loving, and extremely close family. I can just tell from the photos that you have been raised by exceptional parents and you will pass those values down to your family one day. Thank you for sharing your story with us. --- Melissa S
ReplyDeleteLindsey, I love your digital story! It's so cool how you did it to honor your parents. I'm sure they are so proud. This would be really cool to do for upper grades for mother's or fathers day, for students to create a video like this of some sort explaining why they love and look up to their parents. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great digital story. I found myself crying while watching this video. What an amazing story you were able to share!!!
ReplyDeleteLindsey, I love your digital story. You did such an amazing job at sharing your memories and pictures. I think it is absolutely amazing how much you admire your parents. What a great way to share your feelings and tell them just how much they mean to you. From watching your video, I teared up quite a few times at the love and respect you feel for your family. I am sure students would love to be able to complete a project similar to this. Thank you for sharing!
